Mancat Monday

Huggy Bear did a lot of begging last night at dinner time. He's usually very good about being very near the food, but not intruding. But Mom and Dad had picked up sandwiches from McAlister's on their way home last night and Huggy Bear couldn't help himself. He was so eager he actually ate a little piece of lettuce.

Huggy Bear resting
Here's HB looking very content. This was not from last night, but I think this is how he felt after getting some ham, turkey and roast beast from Mom and Dad's dinners.

Surviving the weekend

We managed to survive the visitors this weekend. We had a 14-year old boy, a 12-year-old boy, and 12-year-old girl and a four-year-old girl in the house. The older three didn't pay too much attention to us, but the little four-year-old was VERY interested in us. They were on their way back to Ohio from Disney and the little girl was wearing a Princess Jasmine outfit with jingly bits on it. We think all little people should wear jingly outfits so we know when they are coming. At one point Mom was petting me so the little girl could visit with me. I never moved but I did let out a very civil hiss. Little Reese said, "He's a silly cat." She has no idea how "silly" I was thinking of being. But we all behaved. We spent the night sequestered in the room with Mom and Dad, then got lots of garage time Sunday morning while everyone ate breakfast. I think this worked out best for everyone.

Then Sunday evening we helped snoopervise as Mom and Dad replaced the faucet in the kitchen sink. The old one decided to stop turning off right before company arrived (or course). Aunt Tiff was supposed to come over for dinner, but since the kitchen was in pieces, that got delayed. So maybe we'll see her on Wednesday instead. We hope.

We have pictures, but they're still on the camera. We'll try to get Dad to upload some tonight.

Super Saturday

Today has been a most excellent day. It is the first time in a long long time that Mom and Dad have actually been able to spent the majority of the day home with us. We have been snuggling up with them and cleaning them and having sure our stinks are all over them. Sure, they've been cleaning some because there are some sticky people coming to spent the night tonight, but that's OK. Just as long as Mom and Dad are home.

What's in the closet

"What's in the closet?"
Huggy Bear just can't stand himself sometimes. He just wants in the office closet. He doesn't understand that it's just full of paper and envelopes and a shredder and other miscellaneous office junk. But he'll just beg at the door for a while, Dad will open it for him, he'll poke his nose in and be done with it. Until the next day... I think sometimes he forgets.

Box, part 2 (and a funny story, continued)

Josie claimed the box first
The box from yesterday's Wordless Wednesday was officially claimed by Josie. She normally doesn't get in the mix with that stuff, but she made sure this one was her's. At least until company came and the box had to leave the kitchen and go up to the office. We don't like it as much in the office.

Remember a while back, I told a funny story about a friend's dog who likes to eat the mail as it is passed through the mail slot in the front door? Well, the dog, Mary Gertrude, just hates the mail slot. When that little flap gets flipped she just goes nuts. And recently, Mickey, our friend's 12-year-old cat, has gone through a bit of a mid-life crisis. After years of being a laid back, cool cat, now Mickey is slipping out through Mary Gertrude's doggie door, bringing in prizes for our friend Randy (including a live baby rabbit the other day, which Randy rescued). One day Randy was up on the roof fixing something and he looked over and there was Mickey. He's just turned into a rascal lately.

So the other evening, Randy is in the living room and Mary Gertrude hears the tink-tink of the mail flap and just goes nuts. Randy knows it's too late for the mailman and opens the door to see who is out there and there's Mickey, sitting at the front door. Mickey has learned that it gets the dog all kinds of crazy when he plays with the mail slot flap, and does it all the time now. I think we know who the smarter animal is in that house.

Mom and Dad came home!

Mom and Dad came home after a wonderfully beautiful wedding in Marietta, Georgia. They kept talking about some Big Chicken, which I'm very interested in. Any place that is famous for a big chicken is worth visiting. I'll make Dad get the pictures off the camera so we can all see, but he told me not to get too excited, that it's not the eating kind of big chicken. The weather was perfect for Dad's cousin's outdoor wedding. Despite a 70 percent chance of rain, it stayed dry when it needed to. Hopefully things will start to slow down for Mom and Dad soon so we can visit my cat friends more, and spend more time with Mom and Dad (and post pictures!).

Huggy Bear perched on the bed

Huggy Bear's favorite bed spot
This is Huggy Bear's favorite pose -- he loves to perch on the edge of the bed, especially in the morning while he snoopervises Mom and Dad. The Beans are heading to Atlanta for Dad's cousin's wedding, which means Aunt Tiff is going to come over and squeeze on us (but mainly Maggie).

Yip got adopted!

Remember a while back when Mom was at work and found a sad scared kitten? The kitten ended up being named Yip because he yipped all the way to the kitten rescuer's house. The nice lady who fostered him said Yip was the best little kitten she'd ever been around and that he had the best personality and would just sit in her lap and look at her and talk to her. Well, Midlands Kittens had their adoption day the other day and Yip was adopted out to a nice mother and daughter. And better yet, Yip was adopted with a little sister cat named Pooh, so he'll have a companion. Yip was very very very close to becoming our new tee-tiny little brother (close call!). We are very happy for him and his new forever home!

Strange hissing monster in the closet

So yesterday Mom and Dad were rushing around getting ready for the Willy Wonka opening night at the theatre, Mom was putting on the opening night party and Dad was going to be juggling during intermission. So Dad was downstairs getting some stuff together to go, when Mom was upstairs about to get dressed so they could leave. Mom stepped into the walk-in closet to get her clothes when all of a sudden she hear a ::hiss:: ... Mom stepped back, looked around to see where it came from. I sounded like it was coming from the shelf where Dad had hung Mom's pants after they were ironed. She didn't see anything and stepped forward and again ::hiss::! Again Mom steps back nervously. She does a quick scan and doesn't see any of us. She was thinking maybe we were hurt and in hiding in the closet, but doesn't see a cat.

She calls for Dad and he rushes up. Mom says, "I think something's in the closet. It keeps hissing." The attic access is in the closet, you see, so Mom was thinking some critter had gotten in the attic, then made its way into the closet, maybe a possum or a mean hissing lizard. So Dad slowly inches into the closet and sure enough ::hiss:: again.

He steps back quickly, tells Mom that she may want to go to another room, and he starts clearing items away from the closet floor (like the small dirty clothes pile) that something could hide in. Dad is looking around the closet trying to come up with a plan: trash can to catch "it" in (whatever "it" is), or "do I grab it?" He even considered bringing us cats in to hunt. And then he saw it -- saw where the hiss was coming from -- right there on the shelf: the IRON was letting steam out after ironing Mom's pants!

(Seriously, if there was a critter in the house, did Mom and Dad not think we wouldn't be all over that in a heartbeat? Humans can be so silly.)

Willy Wonka

Mom and Dad have been very busy doing projects for the play Willy Wonka that is opening tomorrow at Mom's theatre (OK, it's not HER theatre, she just spends most of her life there or talking about it). They were in the garage a lot lately painting stuff, which meant that we couldn't be in the garage. To make matters worse, when Dad was outside he thought he saw a flea on his arm (it is that time of year) so it looks like we will be barred from the garage for a little bit. Probably a good thing since it's been in the 100s this week. But after this weekend we should get Mom and Dad back, which makes us very happy.

Empty nest syndrome

Well, Mom and Dad went to check on the little baby birds that were up in the hanging fern and this is what they saw:

Empty nest
The nest was empty! I guess those little birds decided it was time to take off and explore. I hope they're doing OK and not playing with the wrong sort of cat.

Happy Fourth of July

I hope everyone has a Happy Fourth of July! (or to our Canadian friends, I hope they had a Happy First of July.) We had some fireworks around our neighborhood last night, but not too many. And fortunately no fire trucks. Amateur fireworks make me nervous. We had such nice weather last night that we actually got some open window time, which is unheard of in Columbia in July, so it was a good night even with all the noise. Be safe, and I hope you all get some picnic treats from your beans!

Finally Friday

After the water bottle incident, Dad felt kind of bad. He needed to get us treats at Target, so while he was there he and Mom also picked up some Fancy Feast Appetizers that were SO yummy, and a new toy for us too.

Josie with the new toy
Josie was quick to claim the toy. She laid on it to make sure no one else would take it from her.

Tattle Tail Thursday

Dad owes Maggie a big apology. The other night Maggie, Josie and Huggy Bear were all huddled around the entertainment center. It seemed apparent that there was a bug they were hunting. Dad came over and inspected. He even pulled out a flashlight. But he couldn't see anything. (Of course not, he's not a cat!) So he figured we were after the cables and cords behind the TV cabinet. Then Maggie got excited and started clawing at the carpet. So Dad got the squirt bottle and sprayed Maggie to make her stop. Well Huggy Bear kept vigil, and a few minutes later this HUGE Palmetto bug (aka roach) ventured out. Huggy Bear was quick to pounce, swat and play with it. Dad scooped it up, praised Huggy Bear, and gave us all treats for a successful hunt. But we still feel that Maggie deserves an apology for the water -- even if she was digging at the carpet.

Story People: Caregiver

This is very funny and very true -- it's called Caregiver from the Story People. If you're not familiar with them check out their website.
"What happened to you? I said & she said she was nurturing the cat against its will & that was the end of that conversation."

Baby birds

We have some baby birds hanging out in the hanging fern on the front porch. It is a very smart place for the birds to be -- covered, safe, sheltered.

Birds in the hanging fern
I don't think the birds were too happy about having their picture taken, but they are very cute. We'll check in later and see how they're doing. Mom and Dad won't let us go play with them, though.

Mom's Theatre

Ok...As many of you know, the budgets for many Arts organizations are being cut. This is really hitting home here in South Carolina. My mom works for a local community theatre and Chase Community Giving is giving 5 million dollars to 200 charities. So I would like to ask you all to help out by voting for her theatre, Workshop Theatre of SC.

From the bottom of our hearts -- thanks!

Happy 5th Birthday, Maggie!

Maggie's birthday was on Thursday. She got a bunch of nice Happy 5th Birthday wishes on Thursday. Maggie shares her birthday with Mom, which is really cool, but Mom wasn't feeling too hot on her birthday so we decided to actually have her party on Saturday.

Maggie checking out her 5 "cake"
Maggie got a stinky goodness cake in the shape of a 5.

Cats enjoying cat food birthday "cake"
She got the first bite, then we all shared.

Mom got a neat cooler from Aunt Tiff that looks like a fishing bobber, and the best part is that it came in a really great box. Dad tried to get a picture of Maggie in the box, but she decided to rush the camera instead.

Thanks again for all of Maggie's nice birthday wishes. Y'all are the best!

Happy Birthday to Mom!

Mom's birthday was yesterday. She was supposed to take a half day, but there were things that she had to get handled at work, so she was out all day, then went to dinner, and didn't get home late. So we kittens will be celebrating her birthday with her this weekend by sleeping on her and forcing her to sleep in late tomorrow. Now that sounds like a plan!

Cat age chart

Freekibblekat got me interested so I did a search for an age conversion chart to find our equivalent to our human's ages. Pretty interesting. I'm suddenly older than my beans.

Funny story

Since I still need to upload some pictures, and Mom and Dad have been busy getting back into a routine after their trip, I will share a funny story instead.

Mom works with this man who has a dog. Mary Gertrude is two parts of different kinds of terrier so she is very cute, fast and a jumper. Well Randy, her dad, has a mail slot in his front door. Mary Gertrude hates the mailman, and the mail even more. When the mail is delivered Mary Gertrude will attack the mail, and shred it as much as possible. To solve this issue, Randy mounted a basket to the door to catch the mail and keep it away from Mary Gertrude. This worked for a while, but she was determined. Now, when she hears the mailman coming, she runs to the door, and as the mail is passed through the slot, she will jump and grab it before it reaches the basket, and shred the mail. Randy now gets his bills digitally...

Mom and Dad are home!

Mom and Dad went to the beach for a few days, and shut the computer down when they left, which is why I haven't been able to update or visit. I've never been to the beach, but I hear it's like a giant litter box right beside a seafood store. That sounds pretty good to me!

Jasper as a kitten

jasper in a bowl
This is me as a kitten. I used to love curling up in bowls. Now I use the sink instead. Dad was supposed to be uploading some new pictures, but then I curled up in front of the keyboard, made him rub my belly and purred real loud so we're going with a cute kitten picture instead. He can upload those other pictures later. (They were of the siblings anyway...)

Rescued kitten

Workshop kitten
Mom was able to snap a picture of the kitten that was rescued the other day. This was before she could actually get to the kitten to grab him. He was asleep when they got him, which was why they could. When he was awake, he'd move further back into the bush, hiss and whap the ground with his tiny paws. Curled up, he fit in the palm of Mom's hand. They named him Yip because he yipped all the way home with Samantha from the rescue group. He went to the vet yesterday and will hopefully have a home soon.

Mom is a hero

Mom helped save a baby kitten yesterday. She was at work and she could hear the crying of a scared baby kitten. Mom could see it, hiding deep in the shrubs near a very busy intersection. Mom was worried to death about the kitten, but just couldn't quite get it. So she called Dad, and he contacted Midlands Kittens Rescue, a local feral cat fix and release group. They came over and when they got there the kitten was sleeping and could be reached. So they got the tee-tiny kitten (named Yip because he yipped the whole time in the car), and will get him to a vet and get him adopted to a good home. They're coming out tomorrow to try to get momma cat.

A very tempting lizard

Lizard on the lily
We stay inside, and for this lizard's sake, it's probably a good thing, too. Doesn't this guy look like he'd be fun to chase?

Lizard on the lily
I mean, really, look at him. He's quick, hiding in the lilies. That just says fun. I'm afraid that Josie would destroy all the plants to get this guy. She's all hunter when the opportunity presents itself.

Help wanted ad?

I may need to post a help wanted ad and hire myself a personal assistant because Mom and Dad are really falling down on the job. I can't believe my last post was over a week ago! It's not like they were on vacation. Just the opposite, I guess. They got home before 10 p.m. for the first time in three days. That not only disrupts my blogging, it real puts a cramp in my pets time too. But the week promises to get better from here, and they have a long weekend (with rain in the forecast so they can't be outside). That means more me time, and pictures on the blog. I hope your personal assistants are doing better than mine. In the meantime, I'm working on my ad. Just in case.

Bird watching

We have had some good cat TV this weekend. Mom and Dad found a baby mockingbird hopping around in the front yard. He wasn't hurt, just trying to break in his new wings. Momma and Poppa bird were watching from high places, and Momma Bird would bring Baby Bird food every now and then. Baby Bird hopped toward another yard with his wings pumping late this afternoon, so we are very hopeful that he got up and going.

Easy like Sunday

We're hoping to continue the relaxing weekend with a relaxing Sunday. We got to enjoy some much-needed Mom and Dad time Saturday. We were even treated to some stinky goodness and Josie was super good and got some shrimp. We usually just stalk the shrimp from afar, and then when we get a chance to eat some we realize that we like the thought better than the actual snack. But Josie was all about the shrimp last night.

I hope everyone else has been having a good weekend too!

Wordy Wednesday

This should be a Wordless Wednesday, because that's how we like to do it, but Mom and Dad have been "too busy" to upload the pictures from the camera. And I know there are bound to be some good pictures. So since I don't have any recent pictures, and since I just had a sad post, I thought I would tell a nice story. The story begins many years ago, back when Dad was a young boy ...

Dad lived in North Carolina for a few years when he was little. From three to six, they lived in Cary, which used to be a small town, but now is a large suburb of Raleigh. Their neighbor had a dog named Thurber. Now Thurber was a bit of a Heinz 57, and a wild dog that would roam the ditches and anything else that made dogs like Thurber happy. Thurber was a lot of fun. He once jumped through the open window of Dad's Mom's moving car because he wanted to tag along with them and go for a ride.

Well, after a while Thurber wasn't around any more. Dad's Dad explained that Thurber had been taken to the neighbor's brother's farm where he had more room to roar and play and get into stuff. This satisfied Dad, until one day many years later, when Dad was older and more savvy, and it occurred to him that Thurber didn't go to a farm, but Thurber "when to a farm." This made Dad a little sad, but realizing that it had been decades since Dad had thought of this, he was OK.

So at a recent family gathering, Dad was relaying how he was mistaken about the "farm" when Dad's Dad corrected him, and explained that Thurber actually did go to a farm to go run, and be wild, and get dirty -- and all other dog things. And that made Dad feel a lot better.

I guess sometimes a farm really is a farm, and not a "farm."

Ain't no Sunshine when she's gone...

Poor little Sunshine didn't make it through the weekend. The tiny bunny that Dad's office manager found succumbed on Saturday. She was just too small to be separated from her mother, I think. She was buried following a nice ceremony performed by the six-year-old daughter of Dad's office manager. Although she was around only a short time, she touched the heart of a six-year-old girl, and that is a lifetime's worth of good right there.

Belated Mother's Day wishes

I hope all the Moms out there had a wonderful Mother's Day. Mom and Dad were in Atlanta this weekend doing a walk for MS and I didn't get to make a post for Mother's Day. I hope everyone had the most wonderful day yesterday.

Sunshine, the baby bunny

Baby bunny sleeping
The office manager where Dad works brought in the baby bunny yesterday (and hopefully again today). They live out in the country and their dog thought he had found a new squeaky toy the other night. She managed to get the little bunny from the dog, and although it was pretty slobbered on, it was relatively unharmed. But it was also tiny tiny. Her six-year-old daughter named it Sunshine, and they're trying to nurse the little thing until it is big enough to take care of itself. I'll keep you updated.

Stealth mode

Maggie's been in stealth mode the past few days. Mom thought it would be "nice" to let Maggie take her collar off. It must have gotten caught and was tightened a little, so Mom was fixing it and wanted to let Maggie go collarless. It's nice for her -- less nice for the rest of us, who get no bell warning before the pounce. She's getting the collar back on tonight, but until then we're all on high alert.

New entertainment center

Mom had shopped around and around looking for a new entertainment center, but didn't like anything she found, or the price of the ones she did kind of like. Then she found thin one online. It was a little bit of a gamble ordering a piece of furniture that they hadn't touched, but when it arrived Mom and Dad were so impressed. They got a great deal, and we have something new to explore. No one has made it up top yet, but the safe money is on Maggie to jump, or me to be helped up by Dad.

Very funny

Read today's Lio ... funny cat!

Look what came out of the boxes

Those big boxes had some cool stuff in them ...

Josie inspecting the new entertainment center
This is the entertainment center that was in the boxes, assembled surprisingly easy by Mom and Dad. But boy is it heavy! We've all been inspecting it. Josie decided to check it out while Mom played Wii Fit.

Maggie tried to find a good spot. Too bad it won't stay empty much longer.

Thankful Thursday

Today, I am thankful for items that come in huge boxes! The entertainment center that Mom ordered (5-10 days shipping) finally arrived after about three weeks. It came in three really big boxes. And let me tell you, it lived up to its name -- it was very entertaining!

Maggie and Josie exploring the boxes
Josie and Maggie explored all three boxes, and put there stink on everything. But they weren't alone. HB and I helped too, but the picture isn't uploaded yet. Hopefully tomorrow!

New furniture

We get a new TV cabinet delivered today, which means we'll hang out in the garage some when the strangers are here, and then we get to sniff something new, and put our stink on it! It also means that Mom will be home all afternoon with us!

Not happy at all

We're not happy at all, and let me show you why...

Cat visitor at Workshop
You see that -- dead center -- a cat coming to visit Mom while she was at the theatre yesterday. We have to stay home without our Mom, and this other cat gets to come and say HI and get Mom excited to have a visitor. Why can't we be the visitor, and hunt around the theatre for bugs (you know there's bound to be a bug or two) and explore all the cool high places? Come on, it has a CAT WALK -- for that reason alone we should be there.

Oh, and in yesterday's Wordless Wednesday, Maggie was sitting next to Huggy Bear, looking very cute on the step. But right before Dad took the picture she decided she'd rather go put her stink on Dad. So we just got the streak of Maggie's tail, and a confused Huggy Bear.

Snoopervising on Saturday

Jasper snoopervising the yard work
This was me a few weekends ago, snoopervising Dad working in the yard. We'll be doing a lot of this today, because it's plant sale time in Columbia, and Mom and Dad have bought more plants. We have company coming for dinner tomorrow, so Mom wants everything to look just right. That means today will be a busy day for them.

Great story ...

... but William, don't try this. Cat wanders from Albequerque to Chicago.

Friday, April 16, 2010

Thanks!

Thanks for all the nice birthday wishes! You are all so nice and such wonderful friends. I look forward to seeing what the next eight years bring.

Thursday, April 15, 2010

You say it's my birthday!

Happy Birthday to me! I can't believe eight years ago I was born in a shelter in Moline, Illinois. I was the last of my litter to be adopted. My mother was a Manx, and Mom and Dad have decided my dad was a Maine Coon, which explains why I'm so big and like it when it is cool outside.

Jasper's 8th birthday "cake"
As is our tradition, I had a stinky goodness birthday cake in the shape of an 8. I just had a little nibble of it, then I shared it with Josie, HB and Maggie. My birthday wish is that everyone have a wonderful day. (Isn't celebrating my birthday a better way to spend this day, instead of thinking about taxes?)

Maggie Monday

Do you ever just get a little bored? Have you explored every corner of your house? I guess this is what Maggie was feeling when she decided to do this...

Maggie inside the pillow case
She crawled inside a pillow case to curl up on the pillow. I don't know if she was cold (it wasn't really cold that day) or if she was looking for a secret portal to somewhere else. But Maggie found a spot that was just for her...

Mourning Magoo

I am so sad for Magoo's family ... and so sad that I just saw the news. Dad saw a Magoo reference on Facebook earlier and hoped he was wrong. But Magoo has gone to the Bridge. He was the first cat we teleported to visit for a birthday party years and years ago. Magoo is an old friend to the Cat Blogosphere, and we will miss him very much.

Kitten rescue

Mom and Dad came home last night smelling like other cats and drooling dogs. We were tempted to be offended, but then we realized they had been by Midlands Kittens, a local feral cat and kitten rescue group. Mom and Dad delivered 144 cans of stinky goodness and 160 pounds of kitty litter. And they got to see some kittens that were born just minutes before they arrived. It was an exciting detour on the way home, but Mom may have caught kitten fever while she was there.

Sitting, waiting, wishing

Jasper enjoying some open window time
I'm just sitting by the window, waiting for the rain. We need the rain to wash the pollen away. It is so thick, we have footprints in the pollen that look like the moon landing.

I'm also waiting to hear the Sweet Praline is all better with her stitches out from her surgery the other day, and hoping that Daisy starts feeling better too. Good news today, good news, please!

Maggie's stroller adventure

Maggie had a very exciting stroller adventure last night. Mom and Dad were going on a late walk last night when they saw their neighbor out with a flashlight. It seemed the neighbor had company and someone let the cats out. The cats were in the back yard, fenced in, but two of the three cats are spry enough to leap the fence even without claws. They wrangled two, but the third was wandering around. So Maggie stayed in her stroller, keeping an eye out, while Mom and Dad helped search. The little stinker came back on his own after about five minutes of searching, but it helped reinforce why we stay inside, and get locked up when we have company. I'll still complain about not being able to socialize with everyone, but I'd rather be safely inside than worrying Mom and Dad (and myself) by exploring the outside in the dark.

Tuxie Tuesday

daJosie on red
Doesn't Josie look good against the red of the kitchen walls? She was being very silly last night. Mom, Dad and Aunt Tiff went for a walk with Maggie again, and when they got back Josie was all over Dad looking for love, then she got behind Mom on the couch and almost got sat on. I don't know what got into her, but she was being a nut! That's usually Maggie's job. Sisters -- that's all I can say.

We're purring for Sweet Praline today. I know she's having surgery, and I'm sure her Mom is very nervous. But I'm also confident that Praline will do well -- she's a trooper!

We had another nice weekend, with more nice weather and even a stroller ride for Maggie! We hope we get a lot more of this. Too bad the weekend had to end.

Purring for Praline

I just heard that Sweet Praline needs to have some surgery. Please send her all your purrs. I hope it is just a minor procedure.

Cricket slayer

Dad woke up this morning to find a slain cricket in the kitchen. We're not ones to brag on ourselves, but Dad suspects it was Josie because she really likes to patrol the downstairs at night. It's the first cricket that ever made it into the house, but I suspect it didn't have much time to explore -- we're very efficient hunters. It's getting to be that time of year where intruders try to venture in. We don't get many in the house (very few actually) but there's always the garage to patrol.

Tuxie Tuesday

Josie's extreme closeup
Josie says she doesn't get enough "face time" on the blog anymore. I hope this makes her happy.

Mancat Monday

Huggy Bear lounging on the edge of the bed
This is one of Huggy Bear's favorite poses ... lounging on the edge of the bed with one massive paw hanging off the side. He looks a little tuckered out here.

Dad had a little trouble getting pictures to upload to Flickr this weekend, but they're up now so we'll have pictures this week!

Finally Friday

I always love being able to say it's "Finally Friday!" This has been another crazy week, even though I did get to visit a little this week. Mom and Dad promised to get the pictures up this weekend for some posts. We did a Cats in the Window photo shoot yesterday morning before Dad left for work, so we've got some good pictures. It's rainy here, so that means Mom and Dad might have to stay inside with us instead of working in the yard this weekend (but maybe not too rainy that we can't open a window or two).

No wordless wednesday today

I'd have a Wordless Wednesday today if SOMEONE would upload a few pictures off the camera... what to do about these people?!?

Cat play house

I probably posted this before, but I'm posting it again in hopes that this time Dad will buy it for me. I want one of these cat play houses.

Finally Friday

It's Finally Friday! We're supposed to have some warm weather this weekend, which means more open windows (and more pictures of us in open windows!) and hopefully some relaxing time with Mom and Dad (although they've threatened to do yard work if it really gets close to 70 outside). Hooray for the weekend!
