The actual picture

Since Josie totally photobombed me, I thought I needed to show the picture minus her whiskers.

Here I am, relaxing in a cat tent. I don't do this very often. I prefer a good sink or one of Mom's bags.

Tabby Tuesday (in a tent)

Maggie loves her tent from IKEA. It's supposed to be a tent that we share, but in all honesty Maggie kind of claimed it from day one. I don't think IKEA carries pet items anymore, and that's just a shame because all of our favorite tents came from IKEA.

Maggie closeup
Maggie was ready for her closeup that day.

Maggie relaxing in her tent You really can't beat lounging in a good tent. She blends in nicely with all the camo. This tent is in the office, so when she's not sharing the seat with Dad, or climbing all over the desk and head-butting Dad as he tries to type or use the mouse, she'll lounge in her tent.

On a side note, I tried to use Blogger on Dad's Android phone and couldn't get it to work. I could log in, but when I tried to touch the field for the body of the post it would never let me actually enter any text. Has anyone else had this issue? And does anyone use the Blogger app? The app got poor feedback so we just stayed away from it. It would be nice to be able to post on the go. Thanks for your input.

Happy 4th birthday Maggie!

Well there's been a lot of buildup, for sure ... an entire week's worth. And I think Maggie is pleased with what she waited for. Monday, after Mom and Dad's friends left, Mom and Dad headed up to Charlotte and visited IKEA. They had been looking at these cool tents there, and decided Maggie needed a new one.

So here are Maggie's cool 4th birthday presents!

Maggie's new tent
Here's Maggie first checking out the tent. They say it's a "pup" tent, but we're sure it's a cat tent.

Maggie checking out her new hangout
It didn't take Maggie long to get settled in and check it out.

Maggie inspects her IKEA tent
I think she likes the cool camo/cat design.

Maggie stretched out in her new tunnel
Mom was afraid the tent wasn't girly enough for Maggie, so she got her a pink cat tunnel too. Maggie can stretch completely out in the tunnel and still be inside it.

Maggie breaking in the new tunnel
But Maggie likes to be ready to pounce at all times, especially from a tunnel.

She did relax from "pounce mode" long enough to curl up and show off some other tunnel features, like the side entrance.

Maggie was also nice enough to share her tent with the rest of us. Here I am blending into the orange camouflage.

Thanks to everyone who has been coming by during the last week and giving Maggie birthday wishes. She has really enjoyed having a week all about her. Tonight we'll be getting her official stinky goodness cake (while Mom has her birthday cake too -- it is Mom's birthday also).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAGGIE and MOM!

Maggie Monday

While we don't play in the crinkle tent too much (probably because it is a small cone), we do play in our IKEA tents a lot.

Cat tent malfunction
Sometimes Maggie plays a little too hard though, and the tent "malfunctions". That doesn't stop Maggie, though. She'll just keep on playing while the tent comes down around her.

(Speaking of IKEA, I think Mom has an IKEA problem. The weekend before, when Mom and Dad were in Atlanta, they went to IKEA that Sunday. Then Mom had to be in Charlotte on Monday and went to IKEA. Then when they got to Cincinnati on Friday, they went to IKEA again. Yikes!)

Maggie Monday

I'm not sure Maggie knows how to play in her tent. She keeps turning it upside-down, or rolling it so the entrance is against the floor and trapping herself in it.

Maggie hiding under the rolled tent
The other day, she rolled it, then hid under it ready to pounce someone.

Maggie peeking around the tent
She might be goofy, but she's awful cute, too. Cuteness let's you get away with a lot of things...

Also Happy 3rd Birthday to the Cat Blogosphere blog. They are such a catalyst for all us cat blogs and they do a thankless job keeping it up and going, and keeping us all connected. Thank you so much for your hard work and Happy Birthday!

Tuxie Tuesday: Meowie and Tent

Just a quick post today ... I wanted to show this cute picture of Gracie with her kitten Meowie. Gracie is Mom and Dad's friends' daughter. She turned four on Easter, but this picture was taken during the Super Bowl. It is one of Gracie's favorite pictures, and also Meowie's favorite napping spot in the big pink chair. I wish we had a big pink chair like that!

Gracie and her new kitty, Meowy
Gracie is our favorite sticky person, but she has a little one-year-old sister Clara Ann who visited with Mom last Friday. Clara Ann is pretty cute too and we had fun investigating this crawling thing. Who knows, she may give Gracie a run for her money!

"What's in here?"
Here she is trying to get a toy out of our new red cat tent. Fortunately Josie decided to leave the tent a few minutes before this little adventure.

Clara Ann inside the cat tent
She really tried to get in, but I think she realized that this is definitely a cat tent, and not a sticky person tent.
