It has been an entire day since "The Intruders" entered the house. They are very cute, and getting all kinds of love from Mom and Dad, but I'm still having a little trouble warming up to them. I was premature in my first post about no hissing, because shortly after that the hissing and growling started -- all me, not them. We'll try another meet up with them later tonight and see how it goes.
Early on they smelled like the house from the shelter/foster, and definitely not our house. Mom and Dad gave them a bath last night and I think that will help. Either way, I'm getting lots of treats out of the deal.

Hey, Maggie, if you are getting lots of treats out these encounters, they can't be all bad!
Don't worry, Maggie. They're not there to replace you. We trust things will get better. And you get more TREATS!
They will be good company for you when you get used to them. Extra treats is a bonus too.
We got Eric and Flynn to keep Kitty YumBum company. She was the only cat still with us after all the others had gone to the Bridge when we took on my MIL's 10 cats after she died.
She didn't want anything to do with them and hissed and growled like you, but soon she got used to them. She loved them and wanted to be wherever they were.
Well, treats will make up for the little introoders ;)
Maybe you will find they are not so bad.
Either that or you get lots of treats! MOL!
