Sleepy boys

Being a busy one-year-old McKitten-Cat can be very tiring for these boys.


Loki got in a really big yawn before his mid-morning nap.


Aslan is all stretched out and showing off his floofy goodness! I know Mom and Dad love that floofy belly.

Aslan woke Mom up in the middle of the night two nights ago to show her that I was sleeping in his cat bed instead of mine. It really was the cutest thing. He nudged Mom, and when she got up he led her to the cat bed, then looked at Mom as if to say, "What are we going to do about this?"

I hope all of you are getting in some good naps too.

Maggie's new spot

Well, there's still areas of the house that aren't quite put back together since the awful flood a few months back and the repairs that took longer than expected.


Maggie is benefiting from the stack of pillows on the guest bed. She likes to get way up on there and perch and sleep. Who wouldn't like to sleep on a giant stack of pillows? The guest room has become our new hangout. I sleep on a suitcase that needs to be put away (but couldn't during the repairs since it gets stored in the secret storage space we're not supposed to know about, but is off the room we were locked in during the repairs). Josie has been sleeping under the guest bed. I think Huggy Bear is the only one who hasn't migrated to this room. He still hangs out on Mom and Dad's bed.

Open linen closet

Our linen closet has been open for about a week now. The latch on the doorknob is stuck in so the door doesn't stay shut. Dad is pretty sure this is an easy fix, but he and Mom have been pretty busy lately and haven't had a chance to fix it. But don't think I'm in any kind of hurry for them to fix it. I've figured out how to pull it open (they still try to shut it so it looks normal). So I'll open it on my own and make a nice little napping spot in the towels. I think I can get used to this.

Lots of napping

There's been a lot of napping going on at the McKitten-Cat house ... and that's even without the help of turkey to make us sleepy. We're having some cool weather right now, and that certainly helps the napping. I just wish we could find a way to keep Mom and Dad home so we could nap with them.
