I had really hoped for a little more time, but it turns out today was the day for me to cross the Rainbow Bridge. Mom, Dad, and the vet were optimistic that the steroids would give me more time. Today turned out to be a bonus day with Mom and Dad. But I was incredibly restless, didn't even sleep but maybe a few minutes, and hadn't eaten in almost a week. So we made the tough decision to go ahead and cross the bridge. But now I get to be reunited with my brother Jasper and sister (and littermate) Josie. As much as I wish I had more time, I had almost as much as Jasper and a year longer than Josie. And I was lucky -- I have never been alone. I always had my brother and sisters by my side, and note everyone gets to say that.
Thanks for all the purrs. Please keep Mom and Dad and Maggie in your thoughts. Until we meet again (but not too soon) ...

We were very sad to hear that you had such a short time left with your family after your diagnosis. Hugs and purrs to them. We know you are happy to be reunited with your brothers and sisters and many other blogging cats, like our Chey.
We are also terribly saddened to learn today that Huggy Bear left for the Bridge so quickly, but it's always too quickly. We hold them in our hands for such a short time, but in our hearts forever. My deepest sympathies for your loss.
