Extra floofy

Jasper in the parlor
So maybe it's the winter coat, maybe I'm just extra floofy. But I heard Mom and Dad saying that Huggy Bear and I need to lose a pound. We can't help that we're big boys. It's in our genes. And some of it is in our tummies. The big issue is this -- how do you get two big boys to, ahem, diet, without limiting what the two "just right, perfect specimen of a cat" girls eat? We won't eat by ourselves, so if we get isolated in the bathroom we'll just sit at the door wondering what excitement is happening on the other side. We're funny that way. We also eat dry food because some of us (Maggie) are little piggies and chase their nice older brother (me) away from my food. It's quite a challenge.

Maybe Mom and Dad need to clean up the garage, then create a cricket arena for us. Then, in the cricket arena, they can put us, and a cricket, and let us chase it. That'll be good exercise and we can still eat.

OK, now that I am done laughing at the cricket arena idea (just the image is enough to make me keep snickering). I have the same problem...Ivy is a bit of a... um...butterball. And then there is Mozart who can't afford to lose anything. And then there is Maestro the old man who actually needs to gain weight. And then...you get the picture. I have no advice. I gave up a long time ago and just limit the amount I put out each time.

I like the cricket idea. We have that issue with Gemini and Ichiro!

Eric is on a diet so I have to join him, but mum sneaks me treats and a bit of extra food when he isn't looking.

I think the cricket arena is a pawsome idea!

I honestly do think some of it is your winter coat and your natural beauteous floof!

Cricket arena! You're so funny, Jasper!

Since mom and I are the only two who need to lose a pound, we're not much of a match against the Boy Piglet and his Vacuuming Sisters.

We love the idea of a cricket arena!! We'd actually consider going on a diet if it meant getting a cricket arena!!

My whole house is a cricket arena! It's great exercise - my svelte figure can vouch for that!
