Our Secret Paws gift came the other day, right as Mom and Dad were heading out of the house. It was cruel torture to have to wait for them to come back so we could open it, but it turned out to be worth the wait! Our Secret Paw was China Cat, and boy did we get spoiled.
Maggie and Josie were quick to investigate the gifts, all wrapped up.
Huggy Bear took time to read the note, like Mom has always taught us.
We got all kinds of great stuff -- orange mice, and wobbly balls, and Temptations, and a Santa mouse that scoots across the floor, and some rattling balls, and a nip cigar that the girls just went nuts over.
Here's Maggie getting the nip cigar. You can tell it's amazing because she's right beside a pack of Temptations and not paying any attention to them.
Huggy Bear claimed the pink wobble ball as his.
Josie claimed the first orange mouse, and went running through the house with it before Mom could even get the tag off.
I got an orange mouse, too.
We must have been very good this year to get such great stuff! Thanks China Cat!
At the beginning, I mentioned that Mom and Dad were leaving when the Secret Paws arrived. They were going to meet Aunt Tiff, and Aunt Tiff had gifts for us, too!I'll post a couple of pictures later, so as to not confuse with the Secret Paws gifts. But I did want to say "Thanks Aunt Tiff!"

Merry Christmas
I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas with family and friends! We were good and didn't sneak downstairs when we heard Santa Paws coming. And a good thing too, because we wanted to stay on the nice list. We got extra treats today for being good, too.

Carbon pawprint
I'm not happy that this article on Yahoo! is comparing my carbon pawprint to that of driving a VW Golf for a year. At least I'm better than a dog. They're more than twice the equivalent of driving an SUV.

Maggie Monday
Maggie and I helped with the gift wrapping this weekend. Maggie decided the scraps of paper left over made a good toy, and lucky for her Mom and Dad agreed.
Mom and Dad took turns throwing the ball to Maggie. Sometimes she would bat it back at them, sometimes she would catch it in mid-air. In this one, she's twisting around to get the ball.
Here's Maggie demonstrating her bat down technique.
And this is the mid-air catch. I like this game too, but only when I'm all by myself. Maggie's pounced me a few too many times in mid-catch for me to relax and play with her around. But everything she knows, she learned from me.

*Christmas card update*
Mom has been a slacker, but she finally has Christmas cards that should be going out before Christmas, and arriving before New Year's. (She says she's been real busy "working" -- whatever that means. I think it's code for "neglecting the cats.")

Finally Friday
It's finally Friday ... Mom and Dad have a Christmas party tonight, but then it's hopefully time with us! I know there's some more shopping they need to do, and hopefully some Christmas cards created and mailed out.
Huggy Bear was in snoopervise mode the other night when Mom and Dad were packing the Secret Paws, even though here it just looks like he's hogging the bed. But trust me, he was snoopervising. And I guarantee that he'll be keeping a close eye on Mom and Dad this weekend to make sure we get our quality time.

Not really Wordless Wednesday
Well, it's supposed to be a Wordless Wednesday, but not quite ... but also not wordy enough to be a Wordy Wednesday. Here's Maggie snoopervising the Secret Paws package that went out yesterday and some of the goodies. There's more in the stocking that's not pictured. You'll just have to wait for our Secret Paw to take pictures to see it all.
Also, I hope Beau Beau and Noni Noni find homes for Christmas.

Secret Paws
Our Secret Paws package is in the mail! We are so excited. It was a lot of fun helping Mom and Dad get it all packed up. But it wasn't fun not getting to play with any of it. Oh I want to give a hint ... it would be so easy ... but I can't! I'll post a few helping pictures tomorrow.

Random thoughts on Thursday
Just a few random thoughts. Mom and Dad did a great job shopping for our Secret Paws friend. Oh, I want to give a hint so bad, but I can't. We'll be packing it up soon and getting it out in the mail. Maybe if Mom and Dad can get home before 10 p.m. one night...
Also, if you haven't heard I wanted to remind everyone too, Magoo, Smudge, Bella, Dolci and Baci's Dad is getting ready to start another Chrissymouse story from the Story Chair. He always tells great stories so be sure to check it out.

Full moon Friday
Well, it looks like the full moon has Maggie acting like a whacko. No, wait, that's just normal Maggie.

Cat treats galore
Before I talk about Dad's big score at the store, I should mention about yesterday's Wordless Wednesday: Yes, that was a re-usable Target bag. They make great pillows, and Mom and Dad really like the Target bags that fold up and snap the best, too.
Now, last night Dad got a call from Aunt Tish telling him that the grocery store up the road was closing to move to another location and that everything was 60 percent off. Most of the people food was gone, but the cat food was still stocked pretty good. Dad went a little overboard. He bought a bunch of kitty litter and food, but then he also bought nine bags of cat treats and even got some stinky goodness. He saved $65 (which means he spent $45). We even got a new toy (but he clipped it cutting off the huge tag so Mom has to stitch it before we get to play with it).
Did I mention NINE bags of cat treats!?!

Tuxie Tabby Tuesday
We've had such nice weather that it's been difficult to get in the Christmas spirit. But Mom and Dad managed to put the trees up anyway (with our help).
But this is what the weather has been like -- windows open and cats on patrol.
We've taken to just staring out the window to make Mom and Dad wonder what's out back. We've studied the leaves and squirrels and invading neighbor cats. But usually, just for fun, there's nothing out there at all. It keeps Mom and Dad on their toes.
