My pillow

Jasper claims his pillow
This is my pillow -- mine, mine, mine. Dad, you're just going to have to go sleep some place else.

Huggy Bear perched on the bed

Huggy Bear's favorite bed spot
This is Huggy Bear's favorite pose -- he loves to perch on the edge of the bed, especially in the morning while he snoopervises Mom and Dad. The Beans are heading to Atlanta for Dad's cousin's wedding, which means Aunt Tiff is going to come over and squeeze on us (but mainly Maggie).

Mancat Monday

Huggy Bear lounging on the edge of the bed
This is one of Huggy Bear's favorite poses ... lounging on the edge of the bed with one massive paw hanging off the side. He looks a little tuckered out here.

Dad had a little trouble getting pictures to upload to Flickr this weekend, but they're up now so we'll have pictures this week!

Maggie Monday

Maggie snuggled in
Mom and Dad had a lazy Saturday, catching up on a lot of TV on a cold, rainy day. Maggie saw this as a great opportunity to catch up on her snuggle time. She spent the whole time snuggled with Mom, pressed up right against her leg.

Mancat Monday

The sheets were being washed, so what's a mancat to do?

Guard the pillow, of course!

Finally Friday

It's finally Friday, which means more Mom and Dad time, since Dad has a half day.

Three cats in bed
Looks like a good day to curl up in bed and hang out, even if I have to share it with my sisters.

Thoughtful Thursday

I know there is an awful winter storm coming through that might be affecting a lot of our cat friends. I hope everyone is safe and warm and has power during this bad weather. A few recommendations:

Huggy Bear in bed
Find a warm bed to curl up on, or to perch on the edge, like Huggy Bear is doing here.

Josie looking out back
If you have to check out the weather, do if through the window and not out in the snow and ice.

Jasper hiding in the bucket
Escape to somewhere tropical, like a bucket by a palm tree (in this case, in the garage).

Maggie curled up on the couch and orange blanket
Or wrap you tail around your nose to keep it warm.

Stay safe and warm everyone!

Easy Like Sunday

Looks like a good day to just snuggle in and rest.

Maggie snuggling with Jasper
I'll even tolerate my little sister coming right over and sitting almost right on top of me.

Maggie sitting on Jasper's paw
I mean, seriously, Maggie, could you get any closer? But it was sweet. I just thought she was going to sit on my head the way she was walking around to get her spot right.

Mancat Monday

Jasper in bed with Jeni
When Dad gets out of bed, I quickly take his spot and get loves from Mom (especially on these cold mornings). I better be extra cute this morning because I got in trouble with Mom last night -- I put the bite on her new laptop and left a tooth mark on the top. I just wanted to see what all the fuss was about. It didn't taste too good, but then again Mom isn't eating it, either.

Easy Like Sunday

Jasper loves napping on a made bed
I love sleeping in a made bed ... or an un-made bed, I'm really not that picky.

Easy Like Sunday

Mom and Dad like us to share the bed so we try to be nice to each other like they want and co-exist on the bed. Sometimes, though, keeping the comforter between us helps...

Sorry, Mom

[Back from a moment of silence for Eddie...]

The other day I was enjoying some down time with Mom. She was in bed watching a little TV and I was on Dad's side (keeping it warm for him). I guess I dozed a little because Mom reached over to pet me and startled me and I shot off of the bed. When I darted my back claws came out and I ripped a three inch gash in the sheets (the nice new 800-count sheets). We all got our claws trimmed last night. So you see, it's not really my fault. If our claws had been trimmed sooner maybe this wouldn't have happened.

Back to bed

Dad said today was one of those days he would have liked to have just gone back to bed, but since he couldn't we did instead and napped extra for him. It's the least we could do...

Climbing Mt. Bed

We've gotten better at getting up on the new bed. Here are some pictures from when Mom and Dad got the bed up at first.

This is Maggie doing her spider monkey impersonation. You can get an idea of the height of the bed from this shot, as well as an idea of Maggie's athleticism. The small blur at the top is Josie. I think Maggie was trying to pounce her, and that was the motivation behind the big jump.

Here I am reclining on my bed that I let Mom and Dad sleep on. On the rare chance that Mom and Dad make the bed, the cool square pillows go on. Usually they leave it unmade so I can snuggle in the sheets and on Dad's pillow, which I prefer to a made bed.

I like this picture a little better, although the one before shows the new bedspread better. It is very comfortable (and came from Target, which makes it even cooler!) and Mom is so happy to have the new bedspread and mattress. Next will be paint (probably the blue from the bedspread) and then furniture. Lots of stuff to put our stink on...
