Aslan wasn’t too happy about having to make a late night very visit. Mom thought he was a little stinky earlier in the day, like if the litter box was unfresh and he had just come out of it. But later last night Aslan came by and he was super stinky. After a few minutes of trying to coax him out from under the bed, Dad inspected him and decided that he had a ruptured anal gland. Moon and Dad got him in the carrier and hurried to the emergency vet. The doctor cleaned him up and inspected him and it turns out it was just an upset tummy and loose stool but his hair near his bottom has gotten matted and caught some poop and was creating irritation and stink. So now he has to take an anti-diarrheal paste and a probiotic powder on his wet food. At least he’s excited about a reason to get extra wet food. Thankfully it wasn’t a ruptured anal gland or something worse!

Poor Aslan. But at least it wasn’t a ruptured anal gland. That can really hurt!
