Easy Like Sunday

We have company this weekend, so I've staked out my spot on the couch early...

Mom and Dad got up real early yesterday and beat the mad crowd at the botanical garden plant sale to get some really cool stuff. They got some elephant ears and some daylilies and a rose bush that is newly discovered in South Carolina (it's purple) ... but I'll make Mom get some pictures of what she picked out because I know Scooby, Shaggy and Scout's Mom wanted to see them.

Must. Eat. Plant.

[OK, she didn't eat the plant, but she was sizing it up... We're still taking name suggestions for our friend's kitten formerly named Guido who was a he but is really a she. We'll probably wrap it up tomorrow or Thursday. Thanks for all the great suggestions so far.]

Easy Like Sunday

Maggie likes to chew on the remnants of this Peace Lily. It tried to die last year after the heat got to it (Dad put it outside to water it real good, then forgot to bring it in), but then it showed signs of coming back, so now it looks really sad, but has new growth and Dad can't get rid of it. Plus, Maggie likes to play around it.


For some reason Maggie decided to curl up in the dirt and sleep in the plant.


Just so long as she doesn't confuse it with a litter box, I guess it's OK.
