Resting on a Publix bag

Josie relaxing on a Publix bag...
You really can't beat a re-usable shopping bag for a nap ... that is, until your little sister decides to interrupt your nap. It's a good thing Maggie is cute.

The cat's in the bag

The cat's in the bag...
Mom and Dad are constantly amazed by the places we manage to nap. I'm a little embarrassed by the clutter in this picture, but it was such a great napping spot for me. There was a bag that had clothes in it that was still in the closet, some shoes, and a hand towel. This may appear to be a lumpy uncomfortable pile to sleep on if you are a person, but for me this is just perfect.

I've also made a very subtle change to the blog ... after blogging for over seven years, I finally have my own user name. I had always borrowed Mom and Dad's account to visit blogs. But with Google+ and Mom using the gmail account more, I decided I needed my own. So now it actually says "Jasper McKitten-Cat" instead of "jenianddean" and I'm very excited about that!

Addicted to plastic

I'm addicted to biting plastic. I've tried to stop, but there's just no breaking this habit. There's just something about the taste of the yeast they put on the bags to keep them from sticking or the crinkle as you chew them. But the best is the feeling as your teeth puncture the plastic. Just the best!

Check out the technique:

Love that bag! I know going green with reusable bags is good, and Mom and Dad use them a lot, but I'm sure to reuse the plastic ones. This is how I go green.

Tabby Tuesday

Mom and Dad had visitors this weekend, and Mom got her birthday presents early. That meant that Maggie got her first gift early, too -- a gift bag to play in!

Maggie in the gift bag
Maggie spent the better part of Sunday hanging out in or on this bag. Bags make great gifts, but Maggie's getting something even better for tomorrow's post.

Also, Dad found a neat cat t-shirt today.

Finally Friday

It's finally Friday. It has cooled down a little since earlier this week but we may get some window time. Mom has been going and going a lot lately. Fortunately we have Aunt Tiff here to keep us entertained.

Maggie claims Jeni's new shopping bag
This is the bag that Mom just bought last week. She keeps taking stuff with her in this bag when she leaves. Maggie thought if she got in the bag maybe Mom wouldn't be able to go. Unfortunately that didn't exactly work out (and Mom didn't even take Maggie with her and give us a break). But I think we may actually get a few extra minutes with Mom this weekend.

Ugh ... I just realized that it's another Friday the 13th ... back to back months, no less. Nothing to fear ... we all made it through the last one. Huggy Bear is petitioning for it to be Black Cat Appreciation Day instead.

Tabby Tuesday

The way we see it, any bag left unattended is a good place to curl up.

Finally Friday

It's finally Friday, and this week has just flown by. Too bad this is going to be a crazy weekend for Mom and Dad and we don't get as much time with them as we'd like. Mom's been out of the house this week working at the theatre, and it looks like she's going to be doing a lot more of that.

Jasper in the brown bag
She keeps taking her brown and pink bag with her, so I figure if I stay in the bag maybe she'll have to stay home.

Jasper in Jeni's brown bag
Mom, if you leave and work all day then who's going to help me blog and visit my friends and leave comments?

Sorry if I'm not visiting everyone as much as I would like. Clearly it is Mom and Dad's fault.

Easy Like Sunday

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

Easter is a great time for us, even though we don't get Easter candy or get to chase "the rabbit" (as Gracie, our friend's daughter calls him) we do get to chase the foil wrappers from the Cadbury Creme Eggs. Hope everyone has a great Easter!

I know I keep mentioning Mom and Dad's trips to IKEA, but so much fun stuff came from those trips. First of all, they have to drive three and a half hours just to get there, so when they go it's a big trip, with lots of things bought. Yeah, I like the new desk and the cat tents and the bookshelves that I haven't shown you guys yet, but I think I found my favorite thing from IKEA yet -- the giant blue IKEA bag!

The cat's in the bag
Mom and Dad were doing some work in the garage last night making a cornice for the guest bedroom which meant that we had to snoopervise. That's when I found the awesome bag. I wasted no time hunkering down into it. It's a great place to lay in wait, to hide from a pouncing sister, or just to relax and enjoy the garage.
