Thankful Thursday

I think it is only fitting that Thanksgiving should fall on a Thankful Thursday. There's so much to be thankful for. First off, we are thankful for our Mom and Dad because they gave us love and homes and good food. And we're thankful that they love us even when Dad is trying to troubleshoot the computer and I stand in front of the monitor, or when we bite Mom's calf when she's getting ready in the morning because we want a treat. We are also thankful for each other, because life is better with siblings, even if we hiss and chase each other sometimes.

And we are super thankful for our amazing Catblogosphere friends. I can't imagine how empty our lives and the internet would be without you.


I'm also thankful for a comfy pillow to rest my head on.

Thankful Thursday

Thanks so much to Caren and Cody from Cat Chat! They read my post about our pink mouse and were so kind to send us two new pink mice. They have been a big hit. Josie wasted no time claiming the fluffier of the two. She grabbed it in her mouth and carried it downstairs where she could hunt it in piece. She tossed it around and pounced it and threw it -- all the things that pink mice are best at. We have pictures, but they'll be up another night. Thanks again Caren and Cody! We love our new pink mice.

Thankful Thursday

Today, I am thankful for items that come in huge boxes! The entertainment center that Mom ordered (5-10 days shipping) finally arrived after about three weeks. It came in three really big boxes. And let me tell you, it lived up to its name -- it was very entertaining!


Josie and Maggie explored all three boxes, and put there stink on everything. But they weren't alone. HB and I helped too, but the picture isn't uploaded yet. Hopefully tomorrow!

Thankful Thursday

Thank you all for your healing purrs ... Mom is feeling better and back at work today. She really wanted to play sick and stay home one more day, but she was feeling too good, and her new work computer was delivered while she was out. So she is very excited about getting a computer that is new and functional (and not a click, wait, go get a drink, wait some more, yea the program loaded computer).


Maggie wasn't the only one keeping Mom company in bed while she was feeling ill. Here's Josie cuddled up at the foot of the bed. I was on Dad's side of the bed and on his pillow and Huggy Bear was guarding the underneath of the bed so monsters can't move in there.

Thankful Thursday

Today were are thankful that Mom is home after a few days checking on her dad. We took turns snuggling up with her last night. It's nice to have Mom back.

Thankful Thursday

We are thankful for all the nice purrs and prayers for Mom's dad to get better -- he's doing much better. He's doing so well, in fact, that Mom is flying home today! After work, Dad is heading up to Charlotte to pick her up!


Josie has been hanging out in the parlor looking out the front window because she knew Mom was coming home soon. We're planning to put our stink all over her because we heard there was a d-o-g where she was, and we'll have to cover that stink right away.

Thankful Thursday

Thanks to everyone for their birthday wishes. Maggie was so flattered to get all this attention (like she doesn't get enough). But everyone's comments were so nice and appreciated. Maggie is loving her tent. (Mom got an ice cream maker for her birthday, so we're trying to get her to make stinky goodness ice cream. No luck yet...)


Look what's in the hanging fern on the front porch ... baby birds! We've been spending a lot of time in the front room listening to them and watching their mom fly around and bring them snacks. We had an awful storm last night and the wind whipped the fern around pretty good, but Dad checked and the bird he saw was giving him a very dirty look, so he's OK. And that's also something to be thankful for.

Thankful Thursday

I want to thank everyone for all the nice birthday wishes. I had a big hairball by noon yesterday, and Aunt Tiff said that if you're puking by noon then you've been partying pretty hard.


As you can see in this picture of Maggie, we're all recovering from a little nip hangover from the birthday party. I'm going to make it by to visit everyone who commented, but it may take some time. (I just don't know how Daisy does it!)

Thankful Thursday

Thanks for everyone visiting and commenting. I know I haven't been visiting as much lately. Dad has been busy at work, which is a good thing, and Mom is super crazy busy producing a play that opens in about a week.


Here's Huggy Bear in hiding/pounce mode. He's in packing paper that the lamp from Tuesday's box picture was in. (But, like Scooby, Shaggy and Scout said, it does look like sheets.) Whippy Curly Tails wanted pictures of how to hide from the boogeyman, like Little Bunny does, and this is the best we could do.

You can see how much paper was really in the box in this next picture.


We all took turns on the box. We had to lay it on its side once Josie got inside and couldn't get back out. But if you look closely, you can see Huggy Bear's tail sticking out of the paper, so he probably needs to work on his hiding from the boogeyman skills a little.

Thankful Thursday: Happy Thanksgiving

We hope everyone has a very Happy Thanksgiving and gets to enjoy some family time and turkey (especially the turkey). We've been playing catch-up with our time we've been missing with Mom and Dad working so much lately. Maggie won't leave Mom's side, and I'm keeping tabs on Dad to make sure they don't go anywhere today.

We are very thankful for our Mom and Dad's love, and our brothers and sisters, and especially for all our great friends in the cat blogosphere who make each day special in their own unique ways.

Thankful Thursday

This has been a tough week around the Cat Blogosphere. We've had hard weeks before -- not exactly like this one -- but hard weeks.

We're thankful for the Cat Blogosphere, and for everyone in the Cat Blogosphere, and for the inspirational generosity and humanity that made sure Millie's Mom made it to be there for Sprout and her Mom. It's a ray of sunshine during a gloomy week, and a reason to smile. I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again. This is a remarkable group, a true community, and we feel blessed to be a part of it.
