Back deck visitor

We had that little black cat visit us again Tuesday morning. Dad was sitting in the living room having his cereal when he saw the little cat stretching in one of the chairs on the deck. The little guy (guy? girl?) came over to the back door and posed for a few pictures (to be posted soon). Maggie wanted to let him in so they could play, but that wasn't an option. Maggie and Huggy Bear stared at the little cat for a bit, then the visitor wandered off. Dad resisted the temptation to give him some of our treats. He certainly looks friendly and like he has a forever home somewhere.

The humans did not give the visitor any treats? Doesn't that break some sort of kitty etiquette rule?

We do indeed hope that he does so that he gets plenty of treats at his own home!

We have an orange cat that has been around since last summer. He moved into the garage with Zolie this winter & we've been feeding him too. It is clear he was dumped. He sits by our windows looking in...he clearly knows what inside is. He kept running away if I got too close, but with persistence he came to me and when he did he was all headbutts and leg rubbings and purrs. Very clearly he knows what love is.
Next step with this boy (very clearly a boy) is figuring what to do. Hes cute, I'd like to keep him but I don't think our 3 would go for that without major effort. We will get him neutered and to a no kill shelter most likely.
