Dad was concerned about the stray cats in the complex. It appears that the management has been capturing the cats, and taking them to the pound. He thought they had all pretty much been captured, but he saw one of the black and white ones by the dumpster on his way home tonight, and heard a few cats rumbling out in the shrubs.
