So when Mom and Dad were in Atlanta visiting friends last weekend, their cat Hobbes got some love from Mom and Dad -- lots of love.
He is a very cute cat, as you can see here. He got on the back of the couch, except he but his paws and chest on Dad's shoulder, then fell asleep. This, in turn, forced Dad to have a nap too.
He even put his stink on the t-shirts that everyone got for raising money for the Walk MS.
He looks an awful lot like me, so I guess Mom and Dad got confused and that's why they were loving on him this weekend. Maybe he was just a surrogate since I stayed at home. Yeah, that's it...

Everyone's posting diva pictures in honor of Sweet Praline ... you'd think this would be easy to find with the sisters I have...
Here's Maggie demanding Mom's attention by laying across her grocery list.
Josie is so sweet it's hard to call her a diva, but here she is claiming a new blanket and ball.
I'm so happy that I was able to introduce the Cat Blogosphere to Sweet Praline. I wish she was still here, I know we all miss her. But I always try to look at the positive -- she had a full life and gave her Mom so much love. And she trained her Mom for those two sweet kittens.

We think you're correct, he was just a surrogate. Now that makes perfect sense to us. We're sure your beans are happy to have the real thing again!
sigh - our mom can't keep her hands off strange cats either....
Perhaps they were tired after their walk and thought Hobbes was you.
we think the surrogate theory is good - after all, all beans need kitteh surrogates when they leave us
I'm sure that's what happened. It makes sense that since you weren't there and they couldn't snuggle with you... they simply had to find another ginger boy to make do.
I hate it when the woman loves n other cats. I'm very glad you introduced us to Praline too!
Our mom was being a surrogate to another kitty last week, too.
Thank you for participating in Show Your Diva today in celebration of Sweet Praline's life. You were the one to introduce the CB to Sweet Praline and Mom Paula and she'll be forever grateful!

I dunno - I think maybe Hobbes was trying to steal your humans! But obviously his ploy did not work.
Yep, Hobbes was merely a stand-in until your humans got home to you.
Great diva pics!
Hi, we just discovered you. We agree also with the surrogate idea. Our mom can't resist making friends with strange cats. We can't understand it. If she would simply stay home with us, she wouldn't have to find strangers and get herself in trouble (sometimes those nasty strangers bite her!!).
