Cricket slayer

Dad woke up this morning to find a slain cricket in the kitchen. We're not ones to brag on ourselves, but Dad suspects it was Josie because she really likes to patrol the downstairs at night. It's the first cricket that ever made it into the house, but I suspect it didn't have much time to explore -- we're very efficient hunters. It's getting to be that time of year where intruders try to venture in. We don't get many in the house (very few actually) but there's always the garage to patrol.

Very good hunters, indeed! Hold your heads up high. Your parents are very lucky.

Oh, good for you both! Josie, did you chomp its head? Extra protein!

Wow ..
We hear our crickets .. we think or maybe they are frogs .. we live in the woods and there is a swampy/creek area around the back of our fence. They have been 'singing' for over a week.

Good job, Josie! We haven't seen any crickets yet, but when we do, they'll meet the same fate as yours....

We like crickets and grasshoppers too. We don't get them until the middle of summer though. We like to crunch them.
